The mixed-used development planned at the mouth of the Santa Fe Art District in Denver required the replacement of several blocks of a 100-year-old watermain. Investigations would be difficult due to the high traffic of both Santa Fe Drive and 6th Avenue in this popular urban area of Denver. As a subcontractor to Dohn Construction, SurvWest provided the design survey and performed the subsurface utility engineering (SUE). The information was used to determine the best alignment to minimize conflicts with other existing utilities and to mitigate project costs.
